anti-civ records is a new record label based out of minneapolis,
focusing on preserving the important D.I.Y. ethics of our
communities...while giving real help to get some damn good music seen
and heard. anti-civ records is collectively owned and run for the
intent of promoting great music and community
here's the mission statement our collective has approved:
-to preserve the important D.I.Y. ethics of our communities, while
promoting musical acts we have hand-chosen from our communities.
-working in ways which will strengthen radical D.I.Y. community, and
create opportunities for hard-working D.I.Y.-oriented musicians to gain
exposure for their art.
-working to get our artists closer to the reality of making their music
the closest thing they need to a job -- rather than remaining slaves to
this unsustainable, industrial civilization's capitalist machines.
-We at Anti-Civ Records believe in building sustainable DIY community while spreading the art we love. We reject all forms of discrimination and oppression (including but not limited to sexism, homophobia, racism, & capitalism).
